Brain Break Food

By: Amesbury School | Posted Tuesday November 15, 2016

This small bite to eat is intended as an easy to eat, nourishing snack that provides some good energy between breakfast and morning tea.

We have noticed an increase in children eating lollies for their brain break snack and this is having an impact on learning.

We understand that there are times when a lunchbox treat is added, but we ask that items such as chocolate, lollies and fizzy drinks are not used for the brain break, and are limited to one-off and special occasions.

It's great that our students are so open to sharing, however we also need your help to remind them that treats or any other food items are not to be shared with their friends at school, as these may be foods that are restricted for a reason.

Many thanks!
