Sarah King

Sarah King - Teacher, Pōhutukawa Hub

Tēnā Koutou,

My name is Sarah and I am very excited to be joining the Pōhutukawa team at Amesbury and the teaching profession! I am looking forward to getting to know all the tamariki and supporting them in their learning journeys.

I recently completed my teaching qualification at Victoria University of Wellington, where I previously completed my Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce and Administration. Prior to my teacher training, I worked in a range of different roles in the public sector and professional service firms (including as a team leader, policy analyst and research analyst).

I am originally from the Wairarapa; although after spending around twenty years in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Wellington, I now consider it to be home.

I enjoy spending time with my partner, our two daughters, and our wider whānau. Together, we enjoy swimming, running around the backyard, baking, reading, creating, drawing, going for walks and exploring Wellington. I also love to read, listen to audiobooks, tend to our garden, play board games and to cook feasts for family and friends.

Ngā mihi
