I have been part of Amesbury School’s journey since the very beginning. It has been a crazy ongoing journey trying to find ways to deliver engaging personalized learning programmes in our beautiful learning environments.
I am British. However, I’m now feeling much more like a Kiwi than a Brit, having lived in New Zealand since 2005, although I haven’t quite got round to sorting out my citizenship yet!
I have a background in the arts, having completed a degree in Fine Art painting from Winchester School of Art, and lock myself in my spare room to work on my paintings when I can. My arts background lead me to working in New Zealand as a set painter for a few years and after that working in early childhood for a couple of years. My experience of working in early childhood led me to wanting to be a junior primary school teacher and I ended up at Amesbury straight out of teachers’ college.
Over the last few years I have really settled into Wellington life so I think I am here to stay, though I do disappear in the school holidays to various interesting places around the world.Email: [email protected]
