Hola! My name is Gina Quintero. I am originally from Colombia, but I made Wellington my home in 2006. I am a native Spanish speaker and have a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish language.
I am a beginner teacher, and I have had a short but valuable experience as a relief teacher in a range of schools and year levels, from New Entrances through Year 13. Also, I have had the opportunity to work with preschool and school-age children in Colombia, the United States, and New Zealand.
Culture and inclusivity are ideas I am very passionate about, and working in such a vast multicultural school community excites me. I hold, very highly, the importance that working alongside students, their families, and the broader community as this directly impacts my ability to support our tamariki to be successful human beings. I treasure my journey as a learner, and I understand that the best way to be a great teacher is to always be a passionate learner.
My whanau is composed of three beautiful children, my husband and I, so there is never a dull moment in my life. We enjoy spending time as a family, creating memories either by having game nights, playing in the park or making pizzas from scratch. I enjoy exercising and try to fit in at least a short walk during the week as a way to look after my wellbeing.Email: [email protected]
