Kia ora koutou.
I came to Amesbury School in 2015 as the teacher of guitar, ukulele and drama. I have worked as a musician, composer and recording engineer for dance groups, performance artists, video games creators as well as several rock bands. I have been a member of Mime International, performing at schools and public events throughout New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
For 12 years my wife and I lived in Vancouver BC, Canada, where we were involved in a number of arts related practices. After our children were born we decided to return to New Zealand in order to give them the opportunities that being a child in this wonderful country can provide.
I have a diploma of primary teaching and a degree in music composition/technology and film studies from Victoria University. This year I am teaching drama and music on our Wednesday rotation days and taking music lessons on a Friday. I will also be working throughout Amesbury School as a classroom teacher giving the wonderful teaching staff here release time to pursue professional studies.Email: [email protected]
