My name is Davina and I am originally from Australia. My husband is from Chile - there is a lot of Spanglish speaking in our household. We have two outgoing daughters who like to keep us on our toes!
My family arrived in Aotearoa New Zealand in December 2020, spending Christmas in MIQ’s managed isolation and released on New Year’s Eve, just in time to watch Auckland’s spectacular fireworks. I have lived and worked in Iran, the Netherlands, Chile and Italy.
After several years working as an EAL teacher and in administration in an international school, 2021 was the year that I was finally able to train as a primary school teacher through the Victoria University of Wellington. I am thrilled to start my teaching journey at Amesbury and look forward to working alongside staff, children and whānau.
