My name is Trejan Perera, my daughter attends Amesbury School and currently is in grade 5. My wife,Maneesha is the Speech & Drama teacher for Amesbury School.Amesbury School has created a safe environment for my daughter to learn and grow as an individual. Herconfidence and her passion for education has significantly grown since moving to Amesbury school. I havewitnessed the hard work the principal, teachers and support staff input daily to maintain this environment; Iam a great believer in giving back. I value the opportunity to contribute in my skills, knowledge and experienceto serve Amesbury school as a member of the Board of Trustees. My professional background is in Finance. I have spent the last 16 years in the finance sector. Ranging fromBanking, Payments and Insurance. The last 10 years in particular I have been in leadership and governanceroles which has enabled me to gain valuable experience in setting strategy and execution, as well asmaintaining oversight through effective controls. As a result, I am able to provide strong governance andfinancial acumen to the school.I look forward to providing support to the school community through my involvement with the board, and Iam eager to see and be involved with what the future holds for Amesbury School.
