Kia ora koutou,

It has now been announced that we will be moving to Alert Level 1 at 11:59pm tonight (Monday 21st).

This means that from Tuesday morning onwards, we will be operating under level 1 restrictions. This includes the following:

- Continued vigilance around maintaining good hygiene - horoia ō ringaringa, wash your hands regularly!

- Use the Covid-19 app to keep track of your movements, or keep a log of your movements, in case your movements need to be tracked

- Stay at home if you are sick. Contact your medical centre, GP or Healthline if you have any concerns about your health or are showing any of the key symptoms of Covid-19 (new or worsening cough; fever; shortness of breath; sore throat; sneezing or runny nose; temporary loss of smell).

Under level 1, parents and whānau can come into school to drop off or pick up children without needing to sign in. However, we do still strongly recommend using the Covid QR code, which is displayed at all key entrances. Please note that if you come into school outside of regular drop off and pick up times, you do still need to please sign in at the office first. This also means that parents and whānau will be able to come into school for our learning celebration on Thursday 24th Sep, which is fabulous news. The celebration will start in the hall at 1:30pm.

Our student conferences will also be going ahead as planned. Andy’s conferences will be running on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, and for all other teachers the conferences will be held on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Signage will be up around school to let you know where to go. Please note that unless you have already arranged with your child’s teacher to have this conference online, all conferences will be face to face meetings at school.

Have a lovely week, and we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming conferences and our learning celebration on Thursday. School will be finishing at 3pm on Friday for the two week term break.

Warm regards,

The Amesbury team
